Help Spread The FA With Facebook & Twitter. AKA: The Power Of #bfa.

Hello to you, the visionaries, the early adopters, the truly FA. Thank you so much for your involvement. One quick tip wanted to point out to all of you: In BFA under Settings/Notifications you can easily link your Facebook account to your BFA account and thereby have your Awesome Quotient automatically posted to your Facebook wall every time it changes. As well as having your FAdeeds post as FB status updates. Which is super cool and it’ll seem totally normal to your Facebook friends (although you may seem to be doing actual things to make the world a bit more FA). The same kind of integration is possible with Twitter. Just enter your Twitter username and password and hit save. Now you’re all set – your FAdeeds post to your Twitter account just as if you wrote them in Twitter (or in your mobile Twitter App). And to work this in reverse, if you enter a tweet via Twitter or your Twitter App and want it to post to your BFA as a FAdeed, just include #bfa in your Tweet and abracadabra hokus pokus, it’ll show up (might take up to 2 minutes).

My Friend Randy Walker Is An Idiot. But Very FA.

advalue

Ode to my friend Randy Walker. The FA man of the day. Randy is an acclaimed and world-renowned sculptor, artist and architect who lives in Minneapolis. Randy is a funny man. Randy is very very funny, in fact. So funny, that today he sent notice that he’d opened his own advertising shop. Just like that. Presto. Whammy. Nothing to it. And for a guy like Randy, that’s just the way it is. He’s very smart. And we would like to take this opportunity to salute him. For his inventiveness. For his brilliance. And for his sense of humor. Randy, you are FA.

Domino’s Is A Brand With Which We Are Familiar

We worked on Domino’s for about a year or so. The car you see below was not one of our ideas. But man I wish it was. Just look at this fucking thing. It’s art in motion.

The Domino's car strutting it's stuff.

Buttons For Both Bros And Babes With Boobs

These don’t look amazing presented like this, I realize. But we’ve already got some made and their background is black and they’re fun and look pretty sweet. If you want one, send us an email with your address and maybe we’ll send you a couple in the mail. If you’re good & doing FAdeeds, that is.

Beta Dot Be Fucking Awesome Dot Com Is Still Rolling Along

Picture 8

This is our second  blog post and it’s still fitting that the news is that our pride and joy, befuckingawesome.com, is in beta. Be Fucking Awesome dot com is the first social network designed for doing good. By encouraging each of us to do Fucking Awesome deeds – in return for which the community will vote on each FAdeed in order to build your very own Awesome Quotient. Even in beta, with as few as about 15 or 20 users, it’s exciting as hell to see it in action. Users seem to really get the notion intuitively – without handholding. And speaking for ourselves here, we daresay that it’s working to change behavior. You find yourself going through your daily life and looking for good deeds so that you can enter them and see what the world will rate ‘em. Is that really doing good for doing good’s sake? Or is it doing good for reward? Well who really cares? Because whichever the intent or motivation that one has for doing these FAdeeds, we feel that the point is that the FAdeed is being done. And this is exciting. Look for first-wave full production launch as early as the 17th of September. At which time Facebook integration should hopefully help it catch fire in a hurry. Suffice it to say, our excitement is out of beta-phase already. Onward. Stay FA.

The BFA T Shirt is Coming Soon

bfashirt

This is about to go into production. We’ve made one one-color version on pink and wearing it around in public is really fun. You do have to have some cojones to wear it, but the art-direction defuses the haters. We hope to get these full-color versions on black available soon and for retail sale in Urban Outfitters. Believe. And stay FA.
